Hoisting system (S), comprising:
- a hoisting crane (1) having a hoisting cable (2),
- a craft (6), and - a connector catch assembly (CCA) for interconnecting the hoisting crane (1) and the craft (6) or a load/cargo on the craft (6), which connector catch assembly (CCA) is provided with:
- a connector body (3), and
- a connector catch (4) having a funnel-shaped trap-cage (5),
whereby one of the connector body (3) and the connector catch (4) is attached to the hoisting cable (2) and the other of the connector body (3) and the connector catch (4) is attached to the craft (6) or the load on the craft (6), and whereby the wide side (9A) of the funnel shaped trap-cage (5) is directed toward the connector body (3) on approaching one another, whereas the opposite narrow side (9B) of the funnel shaped trap-cage (5) has the connector catch (4) mounted therein for releasably holding the connector body (3). |
