A box for hypodermic needles comprises a rectangular block 10 of plastic material having a series of parallel bores 12 or grooves running from end to end adapted to accommodate the shafts of the needles and formed with parallel cheeks 14 extending on either side of the space occupied by the needle mounts 13, and flexible flaps 16 of plastic material which may be wrapped round the cheeks and block to enclose the needles and mounts. The flaps may be integral with the block 10 or separate and attached to the block by snap fasteners 32, 34, Fig. 6. The outer surface of the flaps may be corrugated to facilitate bending the flaps around the cheeks and an extension 18 on each flap engages a notch 19 in the block. In Fig. 6, the block 21 has a series of grooves 23, 24 sloping alternately in opposite directions, the shallower ends of the grooves being extended at 25, 26 to form spaces for the needle mounts. The ends 30 of the extensions are rounded to conform with the side cheeks and the flexible flap 20 is wrapped around the block and secured by the fasteners 34. |
