PURPOSE: A strain with enhanced succinic acid tolerance and a method for producing succinic acid using the same are provided to be industrially used in producing succinic acid. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant strain with enhanced succinic acid tolerance is obtained by introducing or amplifying a gene encoding tartrate/succinate antiporter enzyme and a gene encoding choline dehydrogenase. The strain with succinic acid producing ability is bacteria, yeast or fungi. The bacteria is E.coli. The gene encoding the tartrate/succinate antiporter enzyme is ygjE, and the gene encoding choline dehydrogenase is betA. The recombinant strain with enhanced succinic acid tolerance is E.coli DST160(KCTC 11521BP).
