PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for developing medicaments such as vaccines for Streptococcus pneumoniae infection, i.e. an effective, relevant and comprehensive set of nucleic acid molecules or hyperimmune serum reactive antigens derived from Streptococcus pneumoniae that are useful for producing the medicaments.SOLUTION: There are provided the nucleic acid molecules encoding the hyperimmune serum reactive antigens or fragments thereof as well as the hyperimmune serum reactive antigens or fragments thereof derived from the Streptococcus pneumoniae; a method for isolating the antigens; and specific uses thereof.
