PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor which detects a detection object over a wide azimuth angle range with non-contact by detecting even a wave motion (that is a peripheral field of view) coming from a shallow elevation angle direction to a holder, and also to provide a sensor unit, and a method of manufacturing the sensor.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a sensor 100 for detecting a detection object with non-contact, comprising: a detection element 102 for detecting a wave motion coming from the detection object; and a holder 104 for holding the detection element 102 on the side of a first terminal 102a. The detection element 102 on the side of a second terminal 102b is displaced away from the holder.
