PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet absorber composition which has an excellent ultraviolet shielding effect even in a long wavelength region.SOLUTION: The ultraviolet absorber composition includes: a compound represented by the formula; and an ultraviolet absorber having a maximum absorption at a wavelength of from 340 to 400 nm, wherein Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent except OH; Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent; and at least one of Rto Rrepresents a substituent having a positive σp value in Hammett equation.
