PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device capable of distinguishing the rotation amount and the rotation direction of an operating member with a simple structure.SOLUTION: This operating device includes an operation side gear 16 which can rotate integrally with an operating member 10, a reverse rotation side gear 26 which can rotate while engaging with the operation side gear 16, a forward rotation output means to output a prescribed signal whenever the prescribed spot of the operating member 10 or a member rotating in the same direction by synchronizing with it passes a prescribed place, and a reverse rotation output means to output a prescribed signal whenever the prescribed spot of the reverse rotation side gear 26 passes a prescribed place with the rotation of the gear. A reverse rotation side guide portion 44 to guide the reverse rotation side gear 26 between an engageable position where it can be engaged with the operation side gear 16 and a retreat position where it is separated from the engageable position and engagement with the operation side gear 16 is released is provided in a reverse rotation side gear holding portion 40. |
