PURPOSE: A passive intarsia flat knitting machine is provided to knit vertical patent by moving a carriage with a hand and to expresses various patterns. CONSTITUTION: A passive intarsia flat knitting machine comprises: a needle bed(2) which is mounted in a support(1) of a certain height and has a plurality of needles; a cam carrier(3) mounted to knit yarn by being placed in the needle bed; a vertical support(4) which is vertically mounted by being extended from the both sides of needle bed; a yarn carrier guide(5) which is horizontally extended from the vertical support; a moving guide(6) formed to cover the yarn carrier guide; a rocking device for moving and stopping the yarn carriers(7,8) at a certain position of the cam carrier; a fixation guide(9) which is horizontally fixed at the upper portion of the yarn carrier guide; and an operator for driving the rocking device at the yarn carrier.
