A short-distance wireless communication apparatus, while simultaneously connecting a plurality of communication protocols with another short-distance wireless communication apparatus (3), causes the other short-distance wireless communication apparatus (3) to transmit a request for disconnecting one of the plurality of communication protocols, thereby disconnecting the one communication protocol. Thereafter, if another one of the plurality of communication protocols is disconnected in response to the other short-distance wireless communication apparatus (3) transmitting a request for disconnecting the other communication protocol, the short-distance wireless communication apparatus transmits, to the other short-distance wireless communication apparatus (3), a request for connecting the other communication protocol.
