PURPOSE: A photographing apparatus for maintaining a photographing scene condition in a locking state is provided to automatically set up the photographing condition suitable for a recognized photographing scene. CONSTITUTION: An image converting unit(41) changes an electrical signal of an imaging device into image data. A scene recognition unit(47) recognizes the kind of a photographing scene by the analysis of the image data. A display unit(51) displays scene information about the recognized scene. A condition setting unit(48) fixes photographing conditions corresponding to the scene.
