PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when printing by generating a composite low-frequency image based on an input image, performing dodging processing and changing a size at the input image to an output image size, if the output image size is much smaller than the input image size, wastefulness occurs in the composite processing of the low-frequency image, and the overall performance of the printing process deteriorates.SOLUTION: A plurality of blur images of a different blur degree are created from the input image, printing setting information for use in printing the input image is input, a size of the composite low frequency image is computed based on the input printing setting information, the composite low frequency image of the computed size is created from the plurality of blur images, and dodging processing is performed on the input image by use of the created composite low frequency image. |
