PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus useful in printing, which is more compact and attains desirable heating and energy consumption characteristics.SOLUTION: The apparatus useful in printing includes: a roll 220 including a first outer surface 222; a continuous belt including an inner surface 214 and a second outer surface 212 forming a nip 224 in contact with the first outer surface 222, the belt 210 being driven by rotation of the roll 220; and a heater 230 disposed in the inside of the belt 210. The heater 230 includes a circumferentially-extending heating surface 232 in contact with the inner surface 214 of the belt 210 over an angle of at least about 90°. |
