PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatically charged nonwoven fabric having a high dust-capturing efficiency, also having "stiffness", and having a high shape-holding property after pleating and in air-ventilating; and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing the electrostatically charged nonwoven fabric for the air filter is characterized by adding/attaching a photo-stabilizer containing a nitrogen-containing ring structure and dissolved with water on the nonwoven fabric formed by a polyester-based or polyolefin-based short fibers with any of the methods of (I) to (III), and then performing an electret treatment. (I) The method for adding/attaching the photo-stabilizer by impregnating, spraying or coating in the process of forming the nonwoven fabric by fixing among the fibers of a web formed by fiber opening/spinning of a short fiber stock cotton with a method of mechanical interlacing and/or thermal melt-bonding. (II) The method for providing the short fiber stock cotton for the nonwoven fabric by blending the photo-stabilizer dissolved with water in a used oil agent and adding/attaching on the surface of the spun fiber surface in the spinning process of the fibers. (III) The method for adding/attaching the photo-stabilizer with the nonwoven fabric by impregnating, spraying or coating in a post processing. |
