PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straight-tube fluorescent lamp without generating a center dark part at a user's initial lighting, even with a straight-tube fluorescent lamp with only a small amount of mercury of a sealing content of 5 mg or less sealed, and a manufacturing method of the straight-tube fluorescent lamp.SOLUTION: The straight-tube fluorescent lamp has a mercury retention body retaining mercury fitted in the vicinity of one end part of a glass tube, and, after rare gas is introduced, the mercury is released from the mercury retention body into the glass tube. At a half part of the side of the glass tube where the mercury retention body is not fitted, 20 to 80% of the mercury retained by the mercury retainer exists before initial lighting by the user. |
