MESSAGE HANDLING METHOD AND SYSTEM

A method for a client to propagate message items as user recommendations of selected items of digital content, comprises the following steps. The client accesses a remote database of digital content items, and receives a user-associated input selecting a digital content item. In response to the input a message item is generated. This message item comprises a user identifier associated with a user of the user-associated input and a content identifier associated with the selected digital content item. The generated message item is then transmitted. Message items and user interfaces associated with this method are described.
