PURPOSE: A lithium ion battery is provided to improve safety about horizontal pressure by accurately and quickly separating a preliminary separation part formed on the floor of a can. CONSTITUTION: A lithium ion battery(100) comprises a can(110), an electrode assembly accommodated in the can, and a cap assembly(130) sealing the can. A preliminary separation part with the thickness thinner than the floor(111) is formed. The preliminary separation part is separated with long sides of the floor side and is formed at a long side in parallel. |
