PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that facilitates removal of a recording sheet clogged up between a cover and a guide member.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes an opening 13A formed at a rear wall 13 of an apparatus body 10; a cover (rear cover 14) for opening or closing the opening 13A; an image forming unit 30 for forming an image on the recording sheet (paper P); and a guide member 100, which is arranged so as to face the opening 13A, for guiding the recording sheet between a first discharge path and a return path. In the guide member 100, an upper end thereof topples, in a lying-back attitude so as to come close to the cover by using a bottom end as an axis, while the bottom end thereof is turnably supported by the apparatus body 10 and the cover is opened. Consequently, the guide member constitutes a second discharge path 97, which goes to a cover side in an opening state through the opening 13A from the image forming unit 30, and further, the guide member is constituted separable from the cover in the lying-back. |
