HANDRAIL MEMBER CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING AND REMOVING HANDRAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail member connector which enables a handrail to be mounted and removed without removing fixing members such as screws.SOLUTION: This handrail member connector includes a first end member 1 attached to the end of a first handrail member T1 and a second end member 2 attached to the end of a second handrail member T2 adjacent to the first handrail member T1. The first handrail member T1 and the second handrail member T2 are connected to each other with the first end member 1 and the second end member 2 interposed therebetween. The first end member 1 includes a cylindrical part 11 which stores the end of the first handrail member T1 and a projection 12 which is formed at the front end of the cylindrical part 11 in the form of part of a spherical surface. The second end member 2 includes a cylindrical part 21 which stores the end of the second handrail member T2 and a recessed part 22 which is formed at the front end of the cylindrical part 21 and in slidable contact with the projection 12 of the first end member 1. The second end member 2 is attached to the second handrail member T2 movably in the axial direction.
