PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element and its molding method having a highly accurate optical mirror surface while reduced in optical distortion.SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is injection-molded using an injection molding die having a cavity for molding an optical element at least having an optical effective surface. In a molding method of an optical element at least having an optical effective surface, the injection-molding die has a gate 2 communicating with one side of the cavity 1 and a wasting cavity 3 communicating with the other side of the cavity, and the molding method includes a step of injection-molding in such a way that the thermoplastic resin is filled in 10-90 vol.% of the wasting cavity 3 and a step of holding pressure. |
