PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polyimide compound with a small linear expansion coefficient in which film formation is possible, a manufacturing method therefor, an optical film and a light waveguide path, obtained from the compound.SOLUTION: The polyimide compound has a structure part represented by formula (1). [In the formula, X represents a covalent single bond, -CH-, -C(CF)- or -CR(R')-, R and R' each represent a 1-6C alkyl group or an aryl group and may be the same or different, A and B each represent a hydroxyl group, a halogen group or a 1-4C alkyl group and may be the same or different, a and b represent the number of substituents of the corresponding A and B and represent 0 or either one of integers of 1 and 2, and o, p and q each represents any one of integers of 1-5]. |
