PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device with a simple configuration, the device turning over each page of a bound book and reading each page.SOLUTION: The image reading device includes a page control part 2402 for controlling an end of an opened page from upside of the end of the page to hold a book 700 opened in place, and a scanner part 400 that moves over the page of the book 700 opened in place to read the page, wherein the scanner part 400 makes a contact with the page control part 2402 in the middle of its movement and moves furthermore to deactivate the control by the page control part 2402. The scanner part 400 can deactivate control by the page control part 2402, and also can control the opened page from upside of it even when the control by the page control part 2402 is deactivated. |
