PURPOSE:To secure the indoor and outdoor applications of a walking step counter in any place by attaching a sensor to the arch of the foot to detect the change of the load applied to the foot in response to the walking actions and counting the outputs of said sensor. CONSTITUTION:A sensor S has a hemispherical shape and a size approximately coincident with the space part of the arch Fa of the foot F. This sensor S is connected electrically to a display main part 1 attached removable to a place slightly higher than an ankle Fb via a lead wire 2. Thus the number of walking steps are displayed on the part 1.
