PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling/slipping-preventive structure of furniture or the like which can effectively prevent the furniture or the like from moving at earthquake by making it exhibit a fall and slip prevention function without damaging the furniture or the like and preventing the furniture or the like from falling and slipping at earthquake.SOLUTION: The falling/slipping-preventive structure 10 is intended to prevent the furniture or the like 12 installed along a wall surface 11 of a room from falling and slipping at earthquake. The furniture or the like 12 is provided with rope-like body engagement grooves 30 guiding rope-like bodies 18 so as to make them to be wound transversely along the front of the furniture or the like 12 in the upper portion and the lower portion. The structure prevents the furniture or the like 12 from falling and slipping by supporting the upper portion and the lower portion of the furniture or the like 12 from the wall surface 11 through the rope-like bodies 18 by winding the rope-like bodies 18 while guiding them by the rope-like body engagement grooves 30 from the front side of the furniture or the like 12 and engaging both ends of the rope-like bodies 18 with the slide engagement grooves 14 and 16 of the engagement rail members 15 and 17 attached to the wall surface 11 by using the rope-like body engagement fittings 13 and 19.
