<p>An extra traffic load processing method and apparatus in Optical Transmission Network (OTN), which are applied to an intermediate node of a protection path, are provided in the invention. The method includes: detecting Automatic Protection Switch (APS) protection protocol information of the protection path; if the APS protection protocol information indicates that the current state of the protection path is switching from switch state or bridging state to no request state, disconnecting the pass-through connection of the intermediate node, and/or, loading the extra traffic at the intermediate node. According to technical solutions provided in the invention, the extra traffic can be loaded at the intermediate node of the OTN linear protection path, and the use limitation of the extra traffic is reduced.</p> |
