PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball chain which has a connecting portion equipped with a fail-safe function, and which makes the connecting portion easily assemblable.SOLUTION: In the ball chain of a solar shading device, synthetic resin balls are molded and fixed at regular intervals on a cord; and both ends of the cord are connected together via the connecting portion, so as to bring about an endless state. The connecting portion 16 comprises a first connecting member 17 which is equipped with a fitting hole, and a second connecting member 18 which is equipped with a fitting protrusion 23 capable of being fitted into the fitting hole. The first and second connecting members 17 and 18 are molded from a synthetic resin. The fitting hole enables the fitting protrusion to be inserted in a direction orthogonal to the axial center of the cord and elastically held in the axial direction of the cord. |
