PURPOSE: A sealing frame is provided to prevent harmful materials from the inside to the outside or from the outside to the inside by welding the frame with deflectors. CONSTITUTION: A sealing frame for use in a battery(1) comprises a base body(2). The base body surrounds an opening(3) and has first sealing sides(4) and second sealing sides facing the first sealing sides. The first and/or second sealing sides are elastically formed. The base body is made of an elastically compressible material. The first and/or second sealing sides is formed as an elastically compressible layer.
