PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the condition of a laser system.SOLUTION: The laser system 100 includes a laser 10, a switch 110 in a laser current path, and a controller 43 that can shut down the flow of an electric current in a current path by opening the switch, wherein the controller outputs a control signal (MEAS IBIAS 1) to the control terminal of the switch. The method relating to the laser system is also provided.
