PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent type article inserting apparatus capable of reducing the size of a work area of a pusher mechanism, enhancing the degree of versatility of the design of a cartoning machine, and enhancing the insertion efficiency.SOLUTION: The article inserting apparatus 100 translates a carton C and an article B at the same speed by using conveyors 201 and 202, and inserts the article B into the carton C from the direction orthogonal to its advancing direction. The article inserting apparatus comprises: a plurality of collecting arms 121 arranged above the article B; an arm supporting shaft 103 arranged in the advancing direction which axially passes the plurality of collecting arms 121 for each loading space of the article B in a row in the direction orthogonal to the advancing direction; a motor 105 for translation to move the arm supporting shaft 103 in the advancing direction; a motor 106 for insertion to move the arm supporting shaft 103 in the direction orthogonal to the advancing direction; and a shaft-moving actuator 107 for collectively erecting all the collecting arms 121 upwardly by axially turning the arm supporting shaft 103. |
