PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spanker capable of eliminating difficult handling of or risk of turnover of a ship against strong crosswind and facilitating development and storage of a sail.SOLUTION: By setting the number of a plurality of blades to correspond to the sail area of a conventional spanker. In addition, by setting divided areas to the areas of the blades 2a, 2b, the adverse effect of the wind pressure of crosswind upon the ship is alleviated. Moreover, by rotating each of the blades 2a, 2b around a main pin 3 and flexible support shafts 6a, 6b and storing them horizontally, development and storage of the sail can be facilitated. Further, by driving development, storage and horizontal angle adjustment by means of power such as electricity, hydraulic pressure or air, remote automation can be achieved. |
