摘要 Disclosed are a photoelectric composite wiring module which has excellent performance and mass productivity, and a transmission apparatus using the photoelectric composite wiring module. Specifically disclosed is a photoelectric composite wiring module which has a structure wherein: optical elements (2a, 2b) are arranged on a circuit board (1) so as to be optically coupled to an optical waveguide (11) that is formed in the circuit board (1); a resin fillet is formed on the lateral surfaces of the optical elements and/or the lateral surfaces of bumps that are formed on tops of the optical elements; an insulating layer (31) is formed by compression-bonding a resin film on top of the resin fillet; an electrical wiring layer (3) is laminated so that electrodes of the optical elements (2) and wiring lines of the electrical wiring layer (3) are electrically connected with each other; and a semiconductor element (4) is mounted on the electrical wiring layer (3). By having such a structure, the transmission speed per channel is increased and an increase in the power consumption is prevented. In addition, the structure prevents the optical elements from being deteriorated by moisture, thereby enabling the photoelectric composite wiring module to achieve high reliability. The photoelectric composite wiring module can be easily connected to a transmission apparatus, and thus contributes to the high productivity of the transmission apparatus.
