Disclosed is a vehicular damper system characterized by comprising an electromagnetic damper (10) provided with: (i) an electromagnetic motor (46) for acting in accordance with the approaching and leaving actions of a spring upper portion and a spring lower portion; and (ii) an external circuit (90) disposed outside of the motor (46) and including (A) a first connection passage (CFEB) for allowing only the flow of an electric current from a first terminal (100) of the two terminals of the motor (46) to the other second terminal (102), and (B) a second connection passage (DFEA) for allowing only the flow of an electric current from the second terminal (102) to the first terminal (100), wherein a generated electric current by the motor (46) flows through the first connection passage (CFEB), for an approaching action of the spring upper portion and the spring lower portion, whereas the generated electric current by the motor (46) flows through the second connection passage (DFEA), for a leaving action, to thereby generate an attenuating force dependent on an electromotive force to occur in the electromagnetic motor (46). The damper system can easily differentiate the attenuating characteristics for the approaching actions of the spring upper portion and the spring lower portion and the attenuating characteristics for the leaving actions. |
