PURPOSE: A light controlling plate, surface-light-source, and a transmissive type image display device are provided to stably display images by adopting a convex part satisfying a specific formula to the light controlling plate. CONSTITUTION: A light controlling plate(40) includes a first face(40a) and a second face(40b). The first face is formed at light source side. The second face is formed at transmissive type image display part side. A plurality of convex parts(41) is formed at the second face. The convex parts satisfy formula below: Z_B(X) - 0.01W_a <= Z(X) <= Z_B(X) + 0.01W_a. In the formula, Z_B(X) is Z_0(X) x r, the r is between 0.95 and 1.05. |
