A composition comprising an avocado/soybean unsaponifiable ("ASU") and an aminosugar, wherein the composition further includes a glycosaminoglycan. Also the use of the composition in the preparation of an agent for the treatment, repair or prevention of or the modulation of inflammation associated with damage to connective tissue in humans or animals.
