PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of speeding up decoding processing by omitting several processes while reducing influence on image quality in accordance with variable magnification ratios at which images are to be decoded and displayed.SOLUTION: The header of decoding target encoded image data is analyzed (S2604). Then, information indicating how many times distortion suppression processing has been performed when generating the encoded image data is obtained. Then, which process can be omitted is determined, based on the set variable magnification ratio and the information extracted from the header, and an image on which output is based is generated by performing the processes which are not to be omitted (S2606). Then, resizing processing corresponding to the set magnification ratio is performed to the image (S2607). |
