PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer having a drive driving means integrated with a printing mechanism of a label plane of a disk, in which printing of a label surface can be executed without projecting a disk to the outside of a case, also of which the structure is simple and of which the quality of label printing is high.SOLUTION: In a label printer 1 in which a drive driving means 2 and a printing mechanism 3 of a label plane DL of a recording medium 2 are integrated, drive of a carrier elevating means 63 and a carriage transporting means 70 are controlled, while control to replace a recording medium D loaded in a disk loading part 2A on a flat board type platen 3A of a printing mechanism 3 by using a disk release mechanism 57 is performed, further, drive of a head elevating means 37 and a printing means 30 are controlled, while printing for the label plane DL by the printing means 30 is executed by controlling drive of the carriage transporting means 70. |
