PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To code a moving picture, which varies in luminance with time like a fade picture and a dissolve picture, with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A variable-length decoder 303 decodes coded data 300 including a predictive error signal indicating an error of a predictive picture signal with respect to a moving picture signal having a luminance signal and two color difference signals, motion vector information 414, and index information 415 representing a combination of at least one reference picture number and a prediction parameter prepared for each set of the luminance signal and two color difference signals, and a frame memory/predictive picture generator 308 generates a predictive picture signal 412 according to a reference picture number and a predictive parameter of a combination indicated with decoded index signal, and generates a playback moving picture signal using the predictive error signal and predictive picture signal. |
