PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a storage type water heater capable of preventing clogging of a bath circulation circuit caused by inclusion of foreign matters even when a water flowing means is not operated due to the inclusion of foreign matters in a bath circulation pipe line.SOLUTION: This water heater includes: the bath circulation pipe line 90 for supplying hot water stored in a hot water storage tank 20 to a bathtub 160 and circulating hot bath water 160a stored in the bathtub 160; a remote controller 120 receiving input of a cleaning operation; a bath circulating pump 91 sucking and circulating the bath water 160a within the bath circulation pipe line 90 when the input of the cleaning operation is received; a flow switch 88 for detecting flowing of the bath water 160a circulated by the bath circulating pump 91; and a cleaning control part for operating the bath circulating pump 91 for a first time when the water flowing is not detected and operating the bath circulating pump 91 for a second time longer than the first time when the water flowing is detected. |
