An anode (2) is formed on an element substrate (1). A film is formed on a donor substrate (10) with a film-forming solution containing a laminating material that constitutes an organic layer (43), thereby forming a transferring layer (11). In this manner, a transferring substrate (12) is produced. The transferring substrate (12) and the element substrate (1) are so arranged as to face to each other via a spacer (13), while facing a surface of the transferring substrate (12) on which the transferring layer (11) has been formed to the element substrate (1) having the anode (2) formed thereon. The transferring substrate (12) and the element substrate (1), which face to each other, are retained under vacuumed conditions. The transferring substrate (12) is heated by means of a heat source (15) under vacuumed conditions to transfer the transferring layer (11) on the element substrate (1).
