PURPOSE:To make it possible to print identification ID marks of fixed density even by using an ink ribbon of low density, by judging that when printed identification ID marks are thinner than the fixed density, there is no mark, and then by sending a retry command. CONSTITUTION:Under the ID mark write command of a host computer, parity data are generated and then a start mark, ID data and end mark are printed out. After the printing operation markd printed out on a ledger are read-out and fixed checks are made. In case of an ID command, the start mark, ID data and end mark are similarly read-out and fixed checks are made. Therefore, when the printed ID marks are thinner than fixed density, the same marks are printed overlapping with each other, so that the ID marks of the fixed density can be printed out even by using an ink ribbon of low density. |
