PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication system capable of highly accurately determining whether a person to be authenticated is a specific person by determining by fuzzy inference whether the person to be authenticated is the specific person.SOLUTION: An extraction unit 210 extracts a feature amount from load distribution data outputted from a measurement unit 100. A determination unit 220 determines whether a person to be authenticated is a specific person, based on the feature amount extracted by the extraction unit 210 and determination information stored in a storage unit 230. Here, the feature amount includes a static feature amount regarding the shape of a sole and a dynamic feature amount regarding time transition of a load on the sole.
