PURPOSE: A solar cell and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve secure the insulating property in the edge region of the solar cell by forming a stepped part at the edge region of a substrate supporting solar cell units. CONSTITUTION: A rear-side electrode layer(200) is formed on a substrate(100). A light absorbent layer(300) is formed on the rear-side electrode layer. A buffer layer(400) is formed on the light absorbent layer. A highly resistive buffer layer(500) is formed on the buffer layer. An ethylene vinyl acetate film(800) is bonded along the solar cell unit and a stepped part formed at the edge region of the substrate. |
