PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adiponectin production enhancing or promoting agent of animal adipose cell not colored like curcumin, being a component of an edible crop more widely used than turmeric, excellent in adiponectin production enhancing and promoting action and comprising safe materials, a type II diabetes hypoglycemic drug and a hyperlipemia-treating drug.SOLUTION: This adiponectin production enhancing or promoting agent of animal adipose cell, type II diabetes hypoglycemic drug and hyperlipemia-treating drug contain as an active component, gingerol, a component of ginger, especially (+)-[6]-gingerol or (+)-5-hydroxy-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-phenyl-3-heptanone which has been found in Alpinia officinarum, a Chinese herb. |
