PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an eddy current loss caused due to reinforcing plates even if the reinforcing plates are arranged close to a connecting conductor which connects the end of an armature winding and an output terminal.SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine of a three-phase constitution comprises: a rotor, an armature in which the armature winding is accommodated in a slot formed at an armature core which is arranged so as to be concentric with the rotor with a proper gap around the rotor and is composed of a laminated core, an outer frame 7 arranged so as to cover the external side of the armature, a plurality of reinforcing plates which are attached to the internal face of the outer frame 7 with proper gaps in the axial direction to reinforce the mechanical strength of the outer frame 7, a terminal box 9 arranged so as to correspond to the end of the armature winding, and the connecting conductor 12 which connects the end of the armature winding and the output terminal 10 in the terminal box 9. At the reinforcing plate 15 arranged in the vicinity of the end of the armature winding, a predetermined range of a portion that faces the connecting conductor 12 which connects the end of the armature winding and the output terminal 10 is formed of a non-magnetic material 15a, and the other range is formed of a magnetic material 15b. |
