PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system for preventing stoppage of image data or voice data and/or jump phenomenon by an MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) service, as for a problematic operation in conventional MBMS services such as hard handover operation where jump phenomenon is produced.SOLUTION: A base station performs communications using the MBMS service in an LTE (Long Term Evolution) mobile communication system. The base station includes an MBMS reception quality situation monitoring means and an MBMS control means. The MBMS reception quality situation monitoring means monitors reception quality situation for an MBMS of a mobile station. When the reception quality situation is proper as the result of the monitoring by the MBMS reception quality situation monitoring means, the MBMS control means continues communication of the MBMS with the mobile station, regardless of other situations. |
