The present invention relates to the field of decorative architecture and concerns more particularly a modular partitioning device made up of a plurality of removable frameworks A defined by panels which are each formed of a decorative filling surface 1a extending inside a surrounding frame 2a made by assembling the ends of two uprights 2a' parallel to two cross-pieces 2a". The said frameworks A are mounted so that they are hinged with respect to each other about axes parallel to the uprights 2a' of the surrounding frames 2a. This partitioning device 1 is noteworthy in that the abovementioned frameworks A are joined together by at least one post B defined by a panel which, formed of a decorative filling surface 1b extending inside a surrounding frame 2b' made by assembling two parallel uprights 2b' of height identical to that of the uprights 2a' of the frameworks A to two cross-pieces 2b", a lower one and an upper one, which are shorter than the cross-pieces 2" of the frameworks A, rests in such a way that it is raised off the ground via at least one support leg 3 arranged below the lower cross-piece 2b" of the post B.
