The light (1) has a mounting frame (4) inserted into a section of a gypsum plaster board (2) e.g. wall lining, such that an end (4c) of the mounting frame is pointed to a room. The end pointing to the room is tapered, so that it converges into the room. A support frame (5) for holding components of the light, where the support frame is connectable with the mounting frame in a detachable manner by a locking device (10). A measuring rod maintains a predefined distance between the support frame and the mounting frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for inserting an installation light.
