The system has an angular speed sensor arranged in a pre-determined angle of inclination (theta) around a transverse axis concerning a longitudinal axis of a vehicle e.g. motorcycle (1). A speed sensor detects speed of the motorcycle. A bank angle calculating unit determines a computed bank angle, which is a computed bank angle of the motorcycle by temporal integrating of a computed roll rate. The roll rate calculates angular speed around the longitudinal axis, which is obtained on basis of angular velocity detected by the sensor, the inclination angle and the speed of the motorcycle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a headlight device comprising a headlight module for lighting up an area before a vehicle (2) a bank angle detection method for determining a bank angle of a vehicle.
