<p>Detecting intact capsule-forming or non-capsule-forming parasites in a meat comprises macerating the meat with a basic digestive solution containing a digestive enzyme, which is active in a basic medium. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of the digestive enzyme, preferably serine endopeptidase of subtilisin group, such as Alcalase(RTM: Protease subtilisin Carlsberg) and Alcalase 2.5 L(RTM: Protease) in a diagnosing method for detecting an infection with the intact capsule-forming or non-capsule-forming parasites; and (2) a kit comprising the digestive enzymes and basic digestive solutions.</p> |
