<p>There is disclosed a centrifuge processing system for handling blood products, said system comprising: a processing module including at least one processing bag (32); a storage module including an airtight containment chamber (10) for supporting at least one blood product storage bag (20) in an upright position with a tubing end of the blood storage bag (20) at the bottom thereof, an access door to the chamber, and a fluid pump (12) coupled to the airtight containment chamber (10) for establishing one of pressure and vacuum within the chamber to transfer blood product in either direction between the blood storage bag and the processing bag; and a control module (50) for controlling the transfer of blood product.</p> |
