METHOD OF POLYGONAL PYRAMID ELEMENT GENERATION

PURPOSE: A method for generating a polygonal pyramid element is provided to define an element in a master domain by using a mapping method and display an actual space element through the mapping method. CONSTITUTION: The coordinate of the one node of an atypical shaped polygonal pyramid is set up(S10). The weight function of a mathematical formula related to the one node of the polygonal pyramid is defined(S20). A shape function is acquired(S30), and the polygonal pyramid of the atypical shape includes a square pyramid, pentagonal pyramid and hexagonal pyramid and so on except a tetrahedron existing in a finite element method. The shape function of the polygonal pyramid is defined through the use of the MLS method.
